"You can show me what you got me for Christmas over champagne," John replied, but inside his heart was racing. He definitely wanted Bobby to go first in the gift-giving because John doubted very much his boyfriend had gotten him anything as significant as an engagement ring. Curling an arm loosely around Bobby's waist, he steered them both over to the railing to look out at the city spread below them, the last rays of the sun streaming across the landscape.
