Bobby returned the kiss weakly, tears starting to run down his cheeks as he pulled his mouth from John's in order to bury his face in John's shoulder, slipping his arms around him and clinging desperately to the best thing in his world. "Yeah," he croaked, because he had to believe that's all it was. He'd known it would come as a shock to his family, after all. That was why he'd put off telling them for so long. If he hadn't been such a coward when he went to visit over the summer, maybe he could have prepared them for this instead of blindsiding them on Christmas with a whole lot of information to take in all at once.
