John ran an arm around Bobby's waist instinctively to hold him close, running his fingers up Bobby's spine. "If I had, I wouldn't notice them," John told him, leaning in for a sweet, soft kiss. "Everyone's not you. They're not as cute as you, not as funny as you, don't treat nearly as well, don't have as hot an ass as you....when I meet someone, it takes me about five seconds to realise they're not you," he said simply, and brushed his lips across Bobby's forehead. "You're the thing that matters most," he murmured, and then, lowering his gaze to those blue, blue eyes, he gently tipped Bobby's chin up with a hand to kiss him again, slow and deep, tongue sliding between Bobby's lips less a claiming and more a reassurance: that this was what they were, no matter what anyone else had to say about it.
