Careful now, you can't let that blue-eyed hussy distract you, he told himself, semi-seriously. And just grinned again because of the sheer idea of there being a 'blue-eyed hussy' in his household.
It didn't take long before John emerged with two plates, laden high with crispy bacon, two eggs over easy each, and a couple of slices of toast, and set them on the table before sitting down himself. "You," he declared, "are going to be so much better fed around here."
